It’s full of egg-citing events for all the family. From live music to markets and egg hunts, you’ll surely spot something that takes your fancy.

Easter Messy Church, Hereford Cathedral

Monday 3rd April, 12-3 pm

Enjoy an Easter-themed day of entertainment at Hereford Cathedral with various family-friendly crafts and games. Messy Church is a free, drop-in event that doesn’t require a reservation. Adults are more than welcome to participate in all the activities, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter Flower Workshop, Castle House Hotel

Wednesday, 5th April, 10 am-2:30 pm

The in-house florist at Castle House is Debbie Coplans, whose Hereford store Beehive is regarded as one of the best in the region. In this workshop, Debbie will demonstrate how to create an arrangement for your Easter weekend with fresh spring flowers.

You’ll be supplied with coffee and Easter eggs to keep you going during this enjoyable class with friends. After the presentation, individual afternoon teas will be provided in the Waterside Restaurant & Bar. Workshop materials, fresh flowers, morning coffee, and full afternoon tea are all provided at a cost of £60.

Coronation Chicken Easter Treasure Hunt, Eastnor Castle

Friday 7th April-Monday 10th April, 10:30 am-5 pm

When our new King is being crowned, take part in an Easter Treasure Hunt with Coronation Chicken! Gather information from the castle’s surroundings to submit your entry for a chocolate Malteaster Bunny reward. Also, you’ll be added to the raffle for a chance to win another chocolate treat!

Easter Market at The Pavilion, The Hope and Anchor

Saturday 8th April, 12 pm-4 pm

Come along to our Pavilion restaurant, where we will be hosting an “eggs-travagant” Easter market with free entry. It will include arts and crafts stalls from local businesses and kids’ activities such as colouring, Easter bonnet making and Easter cookie decorating. You can also meet the Easter Bunny!

Live Music at The Bandstand, The Hope and Anchor

Saturday 8th April, 8:30 pm

The brilliant band Breaking Ground will be playing covers of some of the best pop and rock anthems.

Easter Garden Event, Aardvark Books

Saturday 8th April, 10 am-4 pm

The Cottage Herbery’s RHS Gold Award-winning Kim and Rob Hurst will bring their herbs, perennials, seeds and a wealth of professional horticultural advice. There will also be vintage and garden-related stalls in the car park.

Orchards Easter Eggstravaganza, Maylords Shopping Centre

Saturday 8th April, 11 am-4 pm

Lots to enjoy including:

  • Craft Fair inside the Maylords Atrium (next to Wilko)
  • Easter Raffle – tickets on sale in the Atrium inside Maylords
  • Live music
  • Food and drink, including BBQ, pizza, doughnuts, candy floss, cakes and desserts
  • Free face painting and balloon modelling/magic
  • Artisan market in pop-up shops on Gomond Street
  • Children’s Easter colouring competition

Hereford City Easter Fun, City Centre

Saturday 8th April, 11 am-3 pm

This free event will include a Colourful Woven Easter Egg workshop from Make-it Happen Creative Dreams. There will also be an Easter Trail where you must find the hidden Augmented Reality eggs in local businesses before collecting your own real Easter egg as a prize to take home. Finally, the team from Hotel Chocolat will be handing out tasty samples of their Easter chocolates.

Easter Family Rave, The Courtyard Centre

Saturday 8th April, 2:30-5 pm

What better way to celebrate Easter than bunny hopping to all your favourite songs? The Courtyard in Hereford will host a fantastic event filled with balloons and bubbles!

Easter Monday Organ Recital, Hereford Cathedral

Monday 10th April, 1:15-2:15 pm

Assistant Director of Music Peter Dyke will be performing a selection of music on the Father Willis organ.
